Computer Requirements

Our SoilVision and SVOffice products use a USB dongle for permanent authorization of the purchased product. These dongles require installation of a special driver on your computer before they will work.

OPERATING SYSTEMS

SVOffice 2009 will run on any PC with Windows 2000 or later. Windows 7 and 64-bit environments are fully supported. Multi-core CPUs and multi-threading are fully supported. Up to four threads may be used for analysis to solve the model.

SoilVision will run on any PC with Windows 2000 or Windows XP. Installations on Windows Vista and Windows 7 may encounter problems and is not officially supported by SoilVision Systems Ltd. Visit our Knowledge Base for workarounds to Vista related problems. SoilVision is not supported on Windows Server products, such as Windows Server 2003.

It is possible to install SoilVision and SVOffice 2009 together on the same computer in Windows 7. Please refer to this page for installation details and this support page for more support information.

 

HARD DRIVE SPACE

A minimum of 100 MB of free hard disk space is recommended for SVOffice 2009.

A minimum of 60 MB of free hard disk space is recommended for SoilVision database.

 

GRAPHICS CARD

Recommended:  3D Open GL compatible graphics card

 

NETWORK TYPES

Virtual Machines require a network dongle to be enabled.

Remote Desktop requires a network dongle to be enabled.

 

MACINTOSH COMPUTERS

The use of SVOffice and SoilVision database on the operating systems used by Macintosh computers have not been tested by SoilVision Systems Ltd. Therefore we cannot officially provide support for users installing our programs on these systems.

Some users have reported that they have installed SVOffice on their Macintosh using Parallel and have not encountered problems.
