SVHeat represents the most powerful finite element heat transfer (geothermal) software currently available. The SVHeat software uses the powerful FlexPDE(tm) 2D / 3D solver which is highly automated. SVHeat allows you to spend your time solving your problem, not designing your mesh. With our automated solver and CAD front end, reductions in modeling time of over 80% are average. Our comprehensive documentation will get you modeling quickly!

SVHeat 1D allows vertical or horizontal heat flow models to be solved quickly and efficiently. 1D models can be created based on slices through 2D models which makes model creation quick and simple. [click for details]

OUR NUMERICAL MODELING CLIENTS INCLUDE...
SVHeat 2D represents the next level in geothermal finite element modeling. Designed to be simple and effective, the software offers features designed to allow the user to focus on heat transfer solutions, not convergence problems or difficult mesh creation. [click for details]
SVHeat 3D represents the ultimate in the 3D modeling of saturated and unsaturated heat transfer. Our simple CAD-style input module allows for creation of your model as a series of surfaces and layers. [click for details]

SVHeat is designed for use by geotechnical/geoenvironmental engineers, geological engineers, and soil scientists. The software is able to calculate geothermal gradients and the movement of freezing fronts in saturated and unsaturated soils. Saturation levels may be imported from the SVFlux software. Temperature or gradient boundary conditions may specified as constants or free-form equations. SVHeat allows you to analyze steady-state thermal conduction problems as well as transient freeze-thaw problems. User defined soil properties define the latent heat released or absorbed during the ice-water phase change.

Our software is currently being used by universities and consultants around the world. Contact us here to be put in touch with people from industry currently using our software.

"My study required the input of large data including surface temperatures ranging from 350C to -300C. The flexibility and versatility in SVHeat allowed me to run thermal simulations with sudden changes in boundary conditions using non-linear material properties."

Elsa Tan
Graduate Student
University of Saskatchewan

"Modelling can be time consuming but SVHeat improved our efficiency by allowing us to use AutoCAD (tm) drawings and automatic mesh generation while managing the input data through a database."
