SVDynamic represents a revolutionary new method of slope stability analysis that extends the capabilities of limit equilibrium methods of analysis. SVDynamic uses the dynamic programming method to determine the location of the slip surface and factor of safety of a slope based on a finite element analysis provided by SVSolid.

OUR NUMERICAL MODELING CLIENTS INCLUDE...

  • Theory Manual - HTML format (full version only)
  • Verification Manual - HTML format (full version only)

SVDynamic is designed as the next generation of slope stability software and has already been verified against traditional slope stability analysis methods such as Morgenstern-Price, GLE (General Limit Equilibrium - Fredlund et al. 1982), Spencer, Simplified Bishop's, Janbu, and the Ordinary method. SVDynamic is designed for use by geotechnical/geoenvironmental engineers, geological engineers, and soil scientists.

Our software is currently being used by universities, government agencies, and consultants around the world.

“In order to optimize airvolume at an existing landfill we had to evaluate the slope stability of the piggy-backed waste body on top of the existing one. The unique geometry (compared to traditional slope-stability problems) as well as the nontypical strength parameters of the baled and in-situ compacted waste led us to consider unconventional approaches.  We believe that the unconstrained search for failure surfaces is more appropriate to our application than the search criteria incorporated in other products."
