SoilVision Systems Ltd. is extremely pleased to announce SVOFFICE™5 geotechnical software suite. This release represents the natural evolution of our existing SVOffice™2009 product, but should be considered a major leap forward in the 3D numerical modeling of geotechnical structures. It provides consultants with a software system, which will take 3D modeling to a whole new level.
The new software is the result of discussions with many consulting firms around the world and contains many significant improvements. Our development team has made numerous changes to the underlying framework to allow further major advancements in the months and years ahead. These core changes also see measurable increases in the speed of the graphics engine, user navigation, application functions, solution results and more efficient handling of increasingly complex geometry. The new software represents a major improvement in the operation of the SVOFFICE™ software and the following list identifies some key improvements that come specifically with the SVOFFICE™5 package.
Easy to Use: Featuring a familiar user interface with easy to understand icons and functions. The menu system has been redesigned to simplify the number of choices to the user, greatly reducing the complexity of the software interface and providing a better user experience.
New SVOFFICE™5 Manager with Dual Modes: A complete overhaul of the project manager provides a more intuitive experience. We have simplified the process of creating, managing and sharing your projects. With one click you can easily switch the manager between Beginner mode and Expert mode. Beginner mode presents the user with the bare essentials and user guidance to get you up and running fast. Expert mode expands the user interface and places all of the key project management components at your fingertips.
3D Modeling Solutions: Modeling of systems which are not adequately represented by a simplified 2D cross section may be accomplished in full 3D. Examples include regional flow, levee analysis, and planar geometry.
New SOILVISION®!!: The existing classic SOILVISION® product has been re-designed from the ground up for a fresh and simple user experience. The database consists of unsaturated hydraulic properties includes laboratory data on over 6500 soils and 24 theoretical methods of estimating unsaturated hydraulic properties.
High-Speed 3D CAD Graphics Engine: SVDESIGNER™ and SVSLOPE®3D take full advantage of a fast new 3D CAD graphics engine that provides measureably faster representation and viewing of increasingly complex 3D models.
Automatic Mesh Generation and Refinement: Automatic mesh generation and refinement greatly enhances model stability, accuracy, and convergence.
Tight Integration: All of the new modules are tightly integrated making it very easy for users to move between them quickly and seamlessly. Shared model data is automatically pushed to associated modules. This allow the modules to support highly integrated and coupled solutions. i.e. Rainfall on an unsaturated slope potentially causing instability.
Advanced Model Coupling: Coupling of the air/water/thermal phases allows more comprehensive analysis of i) cover designs and, ii) waste rock flow, and iii) various other applications. Coupled density-dependant flow allows handling of salt-water/ fresh water potash mine tailings scenarios and tidal inflow scenarios.
Advanced Multi-Directional Slope Stability Analysis: SVSLOPE® models can now be fully built-in 3D and it has the unique ability analyze for a slip in any direction.
Spatially Varying Material Properties: Material properties may now be set to vary spatially in any particular region of the model domain. This is available in our SVSLOPE® and SVFLUX™ packages
Comprehensive Probabilistic Analysis: Monte Carlo, alternate point estimation method (APEM), Latin Hypercube and other types of probabilistic analysis may be carried out in our SVSLOPE® package. Monte Carlo analysis for steady state models can be carried out in our SVFLUX™ package.
