The traditional method of software development is to i) release a version, then ii) collect feedback on the software and make modifications. These modifications are traditionally stored into one large “Service Pack Release” which happens once every year or two. Our experience at SoilVision Systems Ltd. is that this long turnaround cycle is too long to be of value in a consulting environment. Therefore, we engineered software development methodologies that proceed as more of a fluid, continuous process with new versions being provided to customers every two to four weeks. This framework was challenging to implement but is now part of the routine and on-going development of our software. Bug fixes and new features can be rapidly distributed to customers in a timely manner.

Not only do our customers appreciate this service, but it also provides a closer linkage between SoilVision Systems Ltd. and our customers. Customers now drive our continued development and can see tangible results in a compressed timeline.

This Continuous Innovation methodology has resulted in our customers being provided with numerous improvements and features over the past year which provide them with a competitive advantage. Many of our features implemented over the past year, provided at no charge to our existing customers, are driven by this methodology.
